Nigeria mission trip (Sept.22-Oct. 2,2009)

Thank you so much for your interest in Mission Exposure. At Hands-On World Missions we are excited about reaching the nations of the world. We know that not many people have the calling to be a career missionary and not all of us can go on long-term mission trip. Mission Exposure is designed to provide opportunity for you to be involved in missions without quitting your job. We know that many people are able to take only two weeks off from work in a year and find it difficult to make a difference in such brief time. This trip will provide you with the exposure that you need and the opportunity to make a difference in the lives of Nigerians.

Nigeria is a very big country (twice the size of Texas State) with population of 120 million. It is clearly the most populous country in Africa.

During this trip, we will be visiting the South Western region of Nigeria. States to be visited include Lagos, Osun, Oyo States and Abuja. We will be working closely with local churches in these areas and our host church is Christ Resurrection Power Assembly (CREPA) in Osogbo, Osun State Nigeria. Opportunities include:

1. Spiritual Renewal Conference

2. Children’s Ministry

3. Hospital Visitation

4. Street & University Campus Evangelism

Fun places to visit include:

1. Lekki Beach Lagos

2. Nigeria National Museum

3. Badagry Old Slave Port

Total Cost per Team member: $2600 (USD)

Payment Schedule for Individual Team members:

$ 100 non-refundable application fee: Due with each application

$ 1750 Airfare & Nigeria Visa application fee, due July 4, 2009

$ 750 Food and board due August 30, 2009

You will need extra money for your own personal use.

Please note that once air ticket is purchased it is non-refundable.

You will need to get some immunizations! You may consult the health department for advice. Your insurance may cover the cost but consider your immunizations as additional cost.

Make sure your passport is current. If you do not have one, it is better you start the process now. All passports must be submitted to Hands-On World Missions’ office for Nigeria Visa processing by July 15, 2009. If you do not have your passport by this date it will become your responsibility to secure your own visa!
